The Thing in the Spring
By Avishay Artsy on Thursday, June 4, 2009.
Over a dozen groups - both local as well as national touring bands - will be playing four concerts. A $25 pass gets you access to everything, plus a discount at the Toadstool Bookshop. There's also individual event tickets for sale. There'll also be an affordable arts fair called *broke. The concept "was born out of the idea that most venues will only sell art that fetches prices too high for the average art appreciator to afford (including other artists)." They're saying that 75 percent of the art on sale will be priced at under $50. In today's economy, that sounds mighty nice.
