Public Service of New Hampshire has had to call in more than 500 crew members – most from out of state- to help restore power.
That means the utility must find crews hot meals and a warm place to stay.
As New Hampshire Public Radio’s Amy Quinton reports, Hampshire Hills, a Sports and Fitness Club in Milford, opened its doors to hundreds of workers.
Rick Holder is General Manager for Hampshire Hills.
It’s one of the largest sports clubs in the nation and one of the few places in Milford that had power on last weekend.
On Sunday, P-S-N-H called Holder and asked him if the club could help out about 150 people.
(rickedit)..In: we decided we had to move quickly…out: anybody understood at first.”
