Here's What's Awesome: Mood-Based Travel, Solar Cemeteries

The four-day frenzy of food, family and football is about to conclude, and we at Here's What's Awesome aim to ease you back into the regular week with a few awesome links. Just a little something for our peoples.

But what if you feel like chicken tonight?
Good travel guides are thorough, but a list of the top tourist destinations of greater Pittsburgh isn't always what you're looking for when you're heading out the door, is it? IFeelNYC.com (there are IFeel sites for London and Toronto, too) are travel guides that work on mood - if you're feeling sophisticated, for example, the map will suggest a trip down to the Bemelman's Bar for live jazz, or maybe a visit to an Austrian restaurant. If you're feeling naughty instead, you may feel up to a giant brownie on 9th Avenue, or maybe a visit to a place called "Peep," where the restrooms apparently have see-through glass (one-way - you can see out, luckily, no one sees in). Move over, chicken power
The Spanish town of Santa Coloma de Gramanet is generating clean solar power in an unusual place - the town cemetery. Town officials say the choice was all about function - the cemetery happens to be one of the brighter spots in town - but some locals feel it's a fitting tribute to have their ancestors helping to preserve the town for future generations by reducing pollution. Sorry, ran out of chicken-themed headers
As I write this, my driveway has about an inch of snow, the first snow of the season. And with the wintry mix comes a lot of phone calls made on short notice - school closings, carpool changes, cancelled appointments, etc. Say you needed to call a lot of people quickly with the same message - enter DialMyCalls, which takes tried and true voicemail and adds a sort of carbon copy function. You can send the same pre-recorded message to 25 people at a time, more than enough to let the hockey team know practice is off, or to tell your circle of friends to tune into a certain radio program most weekdays at noon. Now it's your turn - whether you're feeling naughty, sophisticated, web-savvy or just plain awesome, share an awesome link of your own in the comments field.
