New Hampshire Republicans gathered this morning in Manchester for the post primary “Unity Breakfast”.
New Hampshire Public Radio's David Darman has more.
Winners and losers in Tuesday's primary jammed The Yard restaurant to voice support for the GOP ticket, from John McCain to county commissioners.
In his speech, Republican gubernatorial candidate Joe Kenney took aim at the Democrat he's trying to replace, the popular John Lynch.
Kenney says Governor Lynch is presiding over a looming budget deficit, and Kenney says Lynch missed his chance to do something about it.
"The cuts you should've made, Governor, was a year ago, and it was called during the budget process, in that bloated budget that you passed along with your Democratic folks in the New Hampshire House and Senate. You have to be held accountable, Governor. You can run, but you can't hide on the budget."
Both Republican congressional nominees also attended the breafast. One loser who did not stop in was John Stephen. A spokesman said he had promised to take his family on vacation.
For NHPR News, I'm David Darman.
There were two extremely liberal reporters present at the breakfast. That's it. So this is not really a good view of what transpired.
Lynch is not as popular as you might think now that he and the Democrats have shown they don't know how to run this state and come up even or with a surplus as Benson did.
Lynch's campaign was based on lies, and now we have this budget crisis.... figures.
