Governor Endorses Republican in Senate District 8 Race

The race for the District 8 senate seat between Republican incumbent Bob Odell and House Democrat Jay Phinizy wasn’t getting much notice anywhere except in this southwestern corner of the state.
Until Governor Lynch endorsed the Republican.
And that’s created a stir within the Democratic Party.

CD1 Fundraising Is Almost Even, But the Candidates Accuse Each Other of Being Tainted

The race for campaign funds in the
First Congressional District has been pretty close.

Both Representative Carol Shea-Porter and former Congressman Jeb Bradley have each raised more than 1 million dollars.

But while the totals are similar, officials from each campaign accuse the other of being tainted.

GOP Targets Manchester State Senate Seat

Lately, the outcome of the Senate races in District 18- parts of Manchester and Litchfield- have reliably been tossups.

In the last eight years, both Republicans and Democrats have held the seat for four years.

GOP party officials believe Republican Manchester school board member Doug Kruse has a good shot at upsetting incumbent Democrat Betsy DeVries.
