The entire world is watching to see who will take over the reigns of the presidency. Countries around the globe are keeping a close eye on the race here. According to one poll, Japanese citizens are showing more interest in the race than Americans. Such international interest led the folks at Global Voices Online – the website that tracks international blogs – set up its Voices Without Votes project, a partnership with Reuters News Service. It keeps tabs on what writers around the world are saying about the U.S. elections. Jillian York writes for Voices Without Votes, and she joins Word of Mouth with more on how the world is viewing this election. We also hear from a Macedonian journalist covering the U.S. race for Channel 77, a commercial radio network. Reporter Biljana Lajmanovska works out of the capital of Skopje, and she’s been filing stories from our New Hampshire studios for the past week. She joins us in the studio with her impressions so far of the race here in the States.
