Choral and Symphony

This weekend, the New Hampshire Master Chorale will present music from Finland. We'll talk with the group's music director, Dan Perkins, about the roots of Finnish music, and we'll get to know its composers, from Jean Sebelius to the more contemporary Jaakko MÃ¤ntyjÃ¤rvi.

The New Hampshire Symphony Orchestra also performs this weekend. Their program includes Beethoven's Fifth Symphony. We'll talk with NHSO's Maestro Ken Kiesler about the piece's history and the challenges it poses for modern conductors.

NH Senate is Deciding Its Priorities

This may be the LAST picture taken of The Old Man of the Mountain. It was taken at dusk on Wednesday, April 30th. Clouds and rain were rolling in at that time and did not clear until Saturday, May 3rd, when it was discovered that he had fallen from his perch.
