House To Boat Owners: Throttle Down

New Hampshire's Income Gap / Author Lisa Gardner

A new study says the gap is growing between those who earn the most and those who earn the least in America --and New Hampshire is no exception to that rule. We'll talk with University of New Hampshire professor Cynthia M. Duncan about the underlying causes behind the widening gap. Professor Duncan is the director of the school's Carsey Institute.

We'll also meet suspense author Lisa Gardner. Her new thriller is called Gone.

Heat on the Cheap from Venezuela

Several New England states are buying oil at a discounted price from the Latin American Country. New Hampshire is looking into the plan. States say they're just helping citizens stay warm, but the politics behind the deal are impossible to ignore. U.S. relations with the left leaning Venezuelan government have long been strained. We'll take a closer look. Laura is joined by Massood Samii, Chairman of the International Business Department at Southern New Hampshire University and former OPEC economists and John Carey, Professor in the Department of Government at Dartmouth College with a focus in Latin American politics. We'll also hear from Pam Walsh, spokesperson for Governor John Lynch, and New Hampshire Senator John Sununu.
