New Hampshire already has a state bird- the purple finch...a state flower- the purple lilac....and even a state amphibian- the red spotted newt.

It doesn't have a state fruit...yet.

But if a group of lobbyist have their way than that may change.

And the lobbyists would get an education in Democracy at the same time.

The New Hampshire house has adopted a sweeping plan to deal with executive branch ethics. The plan was championed by Republicans and passed on a partisan vote. Enacting an executive branch code of ethics has been top priority of Governor Lynch, but he says he'll veto the measure if it reaches his desk in its current form.

A new agreement between seven northeast states, including New Hampshire, is the first regional effort in the nation to limit the amount of carbon dioxide emitted from power plants. We’ll talk about the recently unveiled “Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative”, how it works, and why some states, like Massachusetts, have not signed on. Laura is joined by Dale Brick, Senior Attorney at the Natural Resources Defense Council.
