A Moose for Your Car

The state's first conservation license plate is now available -- in limited quantities. The plate features a moose by a lake and costs an extra $35. Proceeds go to protect endangered species and to preserve valuable land. More information.

HMO Business in NH

With only two major HMO's left in the state, employers and consumers are feeling squeezed by fewer choices and higher prices. But the industry says a small market combined with rising medical costs makes it hard to stay afloat. Budgets and Submarine Races

State agencies are asking for increases in the next 2-year budget. Doug Hall, Ex. Dir. of the NH Center for Public Policy Studies, says for most lawmakers, the budget process is almost invisible as thousands of line items are debated and resolved at the committee level.
